Prussia 1764-B 1/6 thaler
This specimen was lot 3500 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €90 (about US$125 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, B, Breslau. Mit arabischer Wertzahl 6. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one sixth thaler of 1764, Breslau, with arabic numeral "6" for the value. Very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1764-70, 1780 and 1786 in large quantities at several mints altho nice specimens are scarce.
Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.
Specification: 5.35 g, 0.521 fine silver, this specimen is 5,55 g.
