Künker sale 353, lot 3529

This specimen was lot 3529 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €260 (about US$362 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/4 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, E, Königsberg. RR Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Berliner Münz-Cabinet 10, Berlin 1979, Nr. 3186. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, quarter thaler of 1764, Königsberg mint. Very rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1764-68. It is one of the few times this denomination was struck in any quantity.
