Künker sale 353, lot 3526

This specimen was lot 3526 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €600 (about US$835 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/2 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, E, Königsberg. RR Sehr schön +. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, half thaler of 1764, Königsberg mint. Very rare, very fine or better.)"

This type, struck 1764-67 at multiple mints, is fairly cheap in circulated condition.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a scarce date.

Specification: 11.13 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen is 11.17 g.
