Künker sale 353, part of lot 3539

This specimen was lot 3539 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €550 (about US$755 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/2 Reichstaler preuß. 1765, F, Magdeburg. Berliner Typ. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Erworben 1970. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, half thaler of 1765, Magdeburg mint, Berlin bust. Very fine to extremely fine.)"

Altho this type was struck 1764-67, this is a rare date.
