Category:Minor coinage of the German states

This category collects all the German minor coinage of face value below one thaler issued prior to unification in 1871. Certain issues of the princely states of the Wilhelmine empire, 1871-1918, namely the two and three mark, also qualify and are included herein. As Austria was a member of the Holy Roman Empire and later the German Confederation, her issues are included up to 1867, the founding of the Dual Monarchy. Hungary, never a part of the Empire, is excluded as are north Italian issues, Swiss cantonal issues and issues of the Low Countries.
