Künker sale 353, part of lot 3482

This specimen was lot 3482 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €130 (about US$181 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/4 Reichstaler preuß. 1765, A, Berlin. Berliner Typ. Mit Laubrand. Fast sehr schön. Erworben am 12.1.1984. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, quarter thaler of 1765, Berlin mint, with leaves on edge. About very fine.)"

This type was struck 1764-68. It is one of the few times this denomination was struck in any quantity.
