Künker sale 353, lot 3479

This specimen was lot 3479 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €180 (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/3 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, A, Berlin. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Heinz-W. Müller 58, Solingen 1988, Nr. 1416. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one third thaler of 1764, Berlin mint. Very fine.)"

This type was struck 1764-74 at multiple mints and accompanied the common 1/6 thaler and 1/12 thaler.
