Künker sale 353, lot 3545

This specimen was lot 3545 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €100 (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, F, Magdeburg. Winz. Zainende, sehr schön +. Exemplar der Slg. Achim von Thielau, Auktion H. G. Oldenburg 20, Kiel 1986, Nr. 33. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-sixth thaler of 1764, Magdeburg mint. Clipped, very fine or better.)"

This type was struck 1764-78 at several mints and is common.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a common date.

Specification: 5.35 g, 0.521 fine silver, this specimen is 5.11 g.
