The first specimen was lot 3543 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €130 (about US$181 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/4 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, F, Magdeburg. Mit einer Troddel an der äußeren rechten Fahnenspitze. Sehr schön +. Exemplar der Auktion Schulten + Co. Köln, Oktober 1985, Nr. 1515. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, quarter thaler of 1764, Magdeburg mint, local bust. Very fine or better.)"

The second specimen was lot 3544 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €240 (about US$334 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/4 Reichstaler preuß. 1764, F, Magdeburg. Berliner Typ. Sehr schön +. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, quarter thaler of 1764, Magdeburg mint, Berlin bust. Very fine or better.)"

This type was struck 1764-68. It is one of the few times this denomination was struck in any quantity. The SCWC does not note the existence of these varieties.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 5.56 g, silver, the first specimen is 5,46 g, the second specimen is 5,65 g.
