Künker sale 294, lot 3532

This specimen was lot 3532 in Künker sale 294 (Osnabrück, Germany, July 2017), where it sold for €2,800 (about US$3,774 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Friedrichs d'or 1765, B, Breslau. GOLD. RR Sehr schön. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, frederick d'or of 1765, Breslau mint. Rare, very fine.)"

This type was struck in Breslau, Silesia, in 1764-65. It traded for five thalers. This type was also struck at Berlin (Fr-2406) 1764-75 and is priced slightly lower than the Breslau mint issue.
