Künker sale 353, part of lot 3777

This specimen was lot 3777 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €800 (about US$1,113 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1763, B, Breslau. Prägung während des Siebenjährigen Krieges. R Kl. Prägeschwäche, kl. Schrötlingsfehler, fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Schulten + Co. Köln, Oktober 1984, Nr. 1520. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one sixth thaler of 1763, Breslau mint, struck during the Seven Years War. Rare, slightly weakly struck, about extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1752-59 and 1763-64. The year 1763 marks the first year of peace after the near-disastrous Seven Years' War.
