Künker sale 353, lot 3793

This specimen was lot 3793 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,600 (about US$2,227 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/24 Taler 1763, G, Schwerin und Rethwisch. Prägung während des Siebenjährigen Krieges. Von allergrößter Seltenheit. Fast vorzüglich. Exemplar der Slg. Schnuhr, Auktion Galerie des Monnaies 30, Düsseldorf 1985, Nr. 353 und der Slg. Manfred Olding, Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 10, Osnabrück 1988, Nr. 603. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, 1/24 thaler of 1763, Schwerin and Rethwisch, struck during the Seven Years War. Extremely rare, about extremely fine.)"
