This specimen was lot 3804 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €340 (about US$473 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. Kreuzer 1763, B, Breslau. Prägungen während des Siebenjährigen Krieges. Von größter Seltenheit. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 6, Dortmund 1996, Nr. 298. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, struck during the Seven Years War, kreuzer of 1763, Breslau mint, struck during the Seven Years War. Extremely rare, very fine to extremely fine.)"

After Frederick the Great seized Silesia in 1742, he issued kreuzer denominated coinage for the province which did not directly convert into the thaler-based coinage used in the rest of the realm. One, three, six, 15 and 18 kreuzer were issued along with one and two groschel pieces. This type was struck 1752-57 and 1763. The last kreuzer was struck in 1797. The year 1763 marks the first year of peace after the near-disastrous Seven Years' War.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: billon, this specimen is 0,73 g.

Catalog reference: KM 960.1 (listed under Silesia), Olding 363 (this example); Kluge 364.
