This specimen was lot 3717 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabruck, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €70 (about US$98 including buyer's fees). Prägung für die westlichen Landesteile. Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Berliner Münz-Cabinet 10, Berlin 1979, Nr. 3309.'' ([[Germany]], [[German States, Prussia|kingdom of Prussia]], Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, stuiver of 1764, Cleve mint, struck for the western provinces. Very fine.)"</blockquote> This type was struck in 1764 for the use of the western provinces (Cleve, Mark, Minden and Ravensburg). It is the last of the denomination. While the Cleve mint would continue operating for the rest of the century, the period of striking special provincial coinage was closing. After narrowly escaping complete destruction in the Seven Years' War, Frederick II henceforth pursued a much less warlike foreign policy.
