This specimen was lot 70397 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 8 Reales, 1848/7-Ga JG. Guadalajara Mint. NGC MS-60. All known examples of this date are the 1848/7 overdate. Wholly original looking with light attractive mottled patina and plenty of luster." Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
