This specimen was lot 11016 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 2 Escudos, 1848/7-GaJG. Called EXTREMELY RARE by Richard Long. Not included in our (Stack's) sale of the Mexico Maxico Collection. Some softness in strike at the centers. ABOUT UNCIRCULATED." Guadalajara issued two escudos 1835-70 with assayer JG recorded for 1836-39, 1842-43 and 1845-63. Most gold from Guadalajara is scarce but two escudos are fairly available.
