These specimens were part of lot 73036 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $561.20. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Quartet of 2 Reales (4 Pieces), 1834-48. Durango Mint. Average Grade: FINE. All: KM-374.4. 1) 1834/3/2-Do RM/RL. 2) 1841/31-Do RM. 3) 1848/36-Do RM. 4) 1848/37-Do RM. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Of the fourteen mints of the Republic of Mexico, only Oaxaca did not strike this type. The two reales was struck at the Durango mint 1826, 1832-35 and 1841-61. In addition to the regular date, we note 1848/36 (left specimen), 1848/37 (right specimen) and 1848/7 overdates.
