Künker sale 353, lot 3487

This specimen was lot 3487 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €70 (about US$96 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1765, A, Berlin. Berliner Typ. Kl. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön +. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one sixth thaler of 1765, Berlin mint, Berlin type. Minor planchet flaws, very fine or better.)"

This type was struck 1764-70, 1780 and 1786 at Berlin, Cleve, Breslau and Königsberg and is common.
