Prussia 1752-D 1/12 thaler
This specimen was lot 3444 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €340 (about US$473 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/12 Taler 1752, D, Aurich. Mit FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX in der Vorderseitenumschrift, mit Ordenskreuz und mit Rosetten zu den Seiten der Wertzahl. Vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Galerie des Monnaies 25, Düsseldorf 1981, Nr. 203. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-twelfth thaler of 1752, Aurich mint, with "FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX" in the obverse legend, with order cross and rosettes by the value. Extremely fine.)"
This type was struck in large numbers at several mints 1750-55. Many varieties exist.
