Prussia 1752-A 1/24 thaler KM-263
This specimen was lot 3551 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €300 (about US$418 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/24 Taler 1752, A, Berlin. Prägung für die Mark Brandenburg. Mit der Jahreszahl auf der Rückseite. RR Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Exemplar der Lagerliste Fritz Rudolf Künker 60, Osnabrück 1984, Nr. 501. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, 1/24 thaler of 1752, Berlin mint, struck for the mark of Brandenburg, with date on the reverse. Very rare, very fine to extremely fine)"
This is the first issue of this denomination that is not extremely rare. It was struck 1751-57 and 1763 with the date on the reverse (shown here) and 1751-54 with the date on the obverse (KM 264). This coin was valued at 1/24 thaler yet contained only 1/26 as much silver.
