The first specimen was lot 3415 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €260 (about US$362 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1752, B, Breslau. Der Kopf teilt die Umschrift. RR Sehr schön. Exemplar der Auktion Westfälische Auktionsgesellschaft 4, Dortmund 1994, Nr. 384. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-sixth thaler of 1752, Breslau mint, the head interrupts the legend. Very rare, very fine.)"

The second specimen was lot 3416 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €110 (about US$153 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1752, B, Breslau. Mit FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX in der Vorderseitenumschrift. Min. Schrötlingsfehler, sehr schön. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-sixth thaler of 1752, Breslau mint, with "FRIDERICUS BORUSSORUM REX" in the obverse legend. Minor field marks, very fine.)"

This type was struck at several mints 1750-55. The large bust shown on the first specimen does not appear in the SCWC.

Recorded mintage: 11,163,142.

Specification: 5.35 g, 0.521 fine silver, the first specimen 5,08 g; the second specimen 5,45 g.

Catalog reference: KM 252, the first specimen Olding 37 b (this example); Kluge 90.3; the second specimen Olding 38 b; Kluge 90.3.
