Künker sale 353, lot 3414

This specimen was lot 3414 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €110 (about US$153 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1751, B, Breslau. Der Kopf teilt die Umschrift. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, fast vorzüglich. Erworben im Mai 1989 von Wolfang Rittig, Schwelm. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-sixth thaler of 1751, Breslau mint, the head interrupts the legend. Minor field marks, about extremely fine.)"

This type was struck at several mints 1750-55. Many varieties exist.
