Künker sale 353, lot 3394

This specimen was lot 3394 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €140 (about US$195 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/6 Reichstaler preuß. 1751, A, Berlin. Winz. Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich. Erworben am 25.10.2006 von Manfred Olding, Osnabrück. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-sixth thaler of 1751, Berlin mint. Extremely rare, minor field marks, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1750-55 at several mints.
