Künker sale 353, lot 3409

This specimen was lot 3409 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,500 (about US$2,058 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/4 Reichstaler preuß. 1751, B, Breslau. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Prachtexemplar. Justiert, fast Stempelglanz. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, quarter thaler of 1751, Breslau mint. Very scarce in this quality, choice example, adjusted, about uncirculated.)"

This quarter thaler was struck 1750-52 at Breslau. It was the last of its denomination until 1764.
