Künker sale 353, lot 3401

This specimen was lot 3401 in Künker sale 353 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €100 (about US$139 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRANDENBURG-PREUSSEN, PREUSSEN, KÖNIGREICH, Friedrich II. der Große, 1740-1786. 1/12 Taler 1751, A, Berlin. Sehr schön +. Exemplar der Auktion Berliner Münz-Cabinet 10, Berlin 1979, Nr. 3129. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II the Great, 1740-86, one-twelfth thaler of 1751, Berlin mint. Very fine or better.)"

This type was struck in large numbers at several mints 1750-55. Many varieties exist.
