Sincona sale 11, lot 784

This specimen was lot 784 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$402 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Brandenburg-Preussen, Königreich Friedrich II. 1740-1786. Taler 1751, Breslau. Sehr schön. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick II, 1740-86. Thaler of 1751, Breslau mint. Very fine.)"

This type, issued from Breslau and Berlin 1750-52, is the second thaler issued by Frederick the Great after the very rare type of 1741 (Dav-2581).
