Heritage sale 3064, lot 33484

This specimen was lot 33484 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $384. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Republic 8 Reales 1842/32 Do-RM MS61 NGC, Durango mint. Pre-1832 eagle resumed. Few of these early dates appear in mint state." Various overdates exist for this date (1842/32 and 1842/31) along with several styles of eagles. Assayer RM is listed for 1830-48.
