Mexico 1840-Do RM 8 reales

This eight reales is a product of the Durango mint which struck this type 1825-95. Note the double overdate (1840/38/31) as well as the bold die crack across the eagle side. The thumbnail may not show the date clearly, click on it to enlarge. Altho this coin is not rare, there is only one other double overdate listed in the SCWC, the 1836/5/4DoRM. Assayer RM is recorded for the years 1830-48.
