This specimen was lot 73535 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $36. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Oaxaca. 5 Centavos, 1915. PCGS MS-62 Brown. Nearly-Choice and possessing a good deal of original red, this example presents great quality." This five centavos was struck in countless varieties as each die was hand made. This subtype, which is common, is distinguished by the short lapels of the bust of Benito Juarez.
