This specimen was lot 72215 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Oaxaca. 10 Centavos, 1915. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, Unc Details. Some darker spots from the environmental damage are observed, but this example otherwise remains without wear, possessing a high degree of brilliance." This ten centavos was struck in countless varieties as each die was hand made. This subtype, which is common, is distinguished by a curved bottom of the bust of Benito Juarez.
