This specimen was lot 73534 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2024), where it sold for $36. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Oaxaca. 10 Centavos, 1915. PCGS AU-55. Bearing just a silhouette of Juarez, as is usual in this low-relief type, this 10 Centavos offers remarkable originality and a solid strike. The surfaces feature pleasing medium-brown patina with no distractions of any kind." This ten centavos was struck in countless varieties as each die was hand made. This subtype, which is common, is distinguished by the low relief bust of Benito Juarez.
