This specimen was lot 77427 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Oaxaca. 50 Centavos, 1915. NGC MS-64. Bust with angular truncation." During the Mexican Revolution, the state of Oaxaca declared itself neutral and withdrew from all military activity. The governor ordered coins struck with the effigy of native son Benito Juarez, died in 1872. The handmade dies led to many varieties; the SCWC lists KM 734, 735, 736, 737 and 739 for the fifty centavos.
