This specimen was lot 3422 in the Eliasberg sale, where it sold for $1,150. The catalog description[1] noted, "1915 10 pesos. Oaxaca. MS-65 (NGC). Types as above. Lustrous greenish yellow gold with faint gold and gray overtones. Dies heavily polished, with many finishing lines on reverse. Slight obverse hairlines. A nice example of this elusive issue. From the John H. Clapp Collection; Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr., 1942." Oaxaca was the only state to issue gold during the Revolution.
