The first specimen was lot 333 in Áureo y Calicó sale 345 (Barcelona, March 2020), where it sold for €240 (about US$317 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Reyes Católicos. Granada. 1 real. Ligero doblez. Buen ejemplar. MBC+. (kingdom of Spain, Catholic kings, undated one real, Granada mint. Lightly doubled, nice example, choice very fine.)"

The second specimen was lot 73013 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[2] noted, "SPAIN. Real, (1504-16). Granada Mint. Ferdinand & Isabella. PCGS AU-58. A charming little minor with just the slightest of wear to be found." Cayón records over twenty varieties of silver one reales from Granada (Cayón-2654 thru Cayón-2674). We think the first specimen is Cayón-2669, based on the presence of the rings on each side of the shield. The bundle on the reverse has seven arrows.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver, this specimen 3,37 g.

Catalog reference: Cal-316, Cayón-2669.
