This specimen was lot 73012 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2022), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN. 2 Reales, (1474-1504). G-R. Granada Mint. Ferdinand & Isabella PCGS AU-53. Obverse displays mintmark and value, 'G' and 'II'. Reverse has an 'R' for the assayer. Slate gray toning with an overall bold strike for the type. Included as well is an old collector's tag." The Catholic Kings had two reales struck at Burgos, Cuenca, Granada, Segovia, Seville and Toledo. Numerous varieties exist tho not so many as the one real. On this one, the "G" is to the left of the shield. The "R" is visible on the reverse but muddled and the image is upside down.
