This specimen was lot 71011 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $125. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Centavo, 1880-Do. Durango Mint. NGC EF Details--Environmental Damage. Tied for best of only two examples graded by NGC. A bold example that is far nicer than most. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." The Durango mint struck one centavos 1879-80 and 1891. They are not rare in worn condition but scarce choice. The mint closed in 1895.

Recorded mintage: 68,600, a scarce date.

Specification: 7.6 g, copper, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
