This specimen was lot 1403 in Stack's "Vermuele, Ward & Mexico Maxico" sale (New York, January 2010), where it sold for $1,725. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Republic. 10 Pesos, 1880 Do P. Durango. Bold eagle facing r. with snake in beak. Rv. Cap and Rays above scales of Justice, dagger, and scroll of laws. A lightly circulated example of this date with some lustre in the fields, a solid strike and tooling at lower left reverse. About Uncirculated."
