Shown is an 1880-HoJA 8 reales, one of a type struck 1825-97. Assayer JA (Jesus Acosta) is recorded at the Hermosillo mint for the years 1877-83. The mintage is not recorded but the date is rather scarce, being priced about 60% higher than the common dates of the 1890's. The Hermosillo mint opened in 1835 and closed in 1895.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.903 fine silver, .786 troy oz ASW.
