This date is common. The type was struck at Mexico City 1825-63 with assayer FH recorded for 1858-60. The second specimen was lot 72210 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $915. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 1/2 Real, 1859-Mo FH. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-66+. KM-370.9. Finest example graded by NGC. Superb frosty with light toning. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors."
