This specimen was lot 72329 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $129. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1859/8-Ga JG. Guadalajara Mint. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. Very scarce. Second best of two examples graded, both are Details graded. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." The type was struck at Guadalajara 1826-62 with assayer JG (Juan de Dios Guzman) recorded for 1836-63. No regular date is listed for 1859.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a fairly scarce date.
