This specimen was lot 42686 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1859-MO FH. Mexico City Mint. NGC MS-65." The Mexico City mint struck this denomination 1825-33, 1850-63 and most dates, including this one, are common. Unlike the half reales, which appear occasionally in gem condition, this denomination nearly always comes heavily circulated.
