The first specimen was lot 11289 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $382. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Peso, 1869-OaE. First year of issue. Old cleaning and a couple of old scratches. Nearly EXTREMELY FINE." The second specimen was lot 22323 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $235.
