This specimen was lot 71144 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $780. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1888-Ho G. Hermosillo Mint. NGC MS-65. Tied for finest of just two coins graded at NGC. Medium blue-russet toning. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." Shown is an 1888-H^O G five centavos, of a type struck 1874, 1878-80, 1886-94. This issue is somewhat scarce but not rare.

Recorded mintage: 12,000.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, reeded edge.
