This specimen was lot 72328 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), where it sold for $244. The catalog description^[1] noted, "MEXICO. Real, 1857/6-Ga JG. Guadalajara Mint. NGC EF Details--Cleaned. Only example graded by NGC. Very scarce. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." Of the fourteen mints of the Republic of Mexico, only Oaxaca and Real de Catorce did not strike this type. One reales were struck at Guadalajara 1826-62 with assayer JG (Juan de Dios Guzman) recorded for 1836-63. No regular date is listed for 1857.
