This specimen is from a type struck 1831-35 and is fairly available tho the 1831 is the date most often seen. This issue was accompanied by copper cuartillas and octavos; both were issued in an attempt to drive out the abusive minting of state and municipal coppers.
Specification: copper or brass, 1.75 g, 17 mm diameter.
