This specimen was part of lot 73192 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2026), which sold for $1,342. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Group of 2 Reales (15 Pieces), 1826-41. Zacatecas Mint. Grade Range: VERY GOOD to VERY FINE. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Reales Minors." This specimen was struck at the Zacatecas mint in 1831, one of a type struck there 1825-70. Assayer OM (Manuel Ochoa and Manuel Miner) is listed for 1831-56. Assayer OV (served 1829-31) also stamped two reales in 1831. The SCWC lists both as common along with an 1831-OM/OV.
