This specimen was lot 6285 in Ponterio sale 155 (Baltimore, November 2010), where it sold for $1,725. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Guadalajara. 8 Reales, 1831-LP. VERY RARE without countermark and EXTREMELY RARE in this high grade. One tiny edge nick, weakly struck as usual, light toning. UNCIRCULATED." For 1831, the SCWC lists assayer FS (scarce) and assayer LP (rare).
