Shown is an 1878HoG five centavos, of a type struck 1874-94. This issue from Hermosillo is a better date but not rare. Other mints include Alamos, Culiacan, Durango, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Guanajuato, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Oaxaca and Potosi. The SCWC records a rare 1878/7 overdate and a scarce mule using a gold peso obverse die.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, .039 troy oz ASW.

Mintage: 22,000.
