This specimen was lot 77354 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 5 Centavos, 1868-P. San Luis Potosi Mint. NGC AU-55." This scarce type was struck only at Mexico City and San Luis Potosi 1868-69. An 1868/7 overdate exists and is awarded a slight premium, even tho no 1867 is known.

Recorded mintage: 34,000 including 1868/7.

Specification: 1.35 g, 0.903 fine silver, 14 mm diameter, .039 troy oz ASW.
