This specimen was lot 71243 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. 10 Centavos, 1868-Ca. Chihuahua Mint. Standing Eagle Type. NGC AU-58. Finest and only AU of two examples graded at NGC. Attractive peripheral toning. From the Kirk Menczer Collection of Republican Decimal Minors." This specimen is a scarce date of a series struck 1868-70 at the Chihuahua mint. This ten centavos piece replaced the silver one real struck since colonial times. Recorded mintage: unknown but not common.

Specification: 2.70 g, 0.903 fine silver, 18 mm diameter, reeded edge.
